What style of a slave play works?
I think any style of slave play works as long as the slave doesn't pretend to be someone she isn't, but tries to be because she assumes the environment expects it from her. I would say:be your own unique person and approach the world that way at all times.
What traits are ideal to me and what makes a slave stick out for me? First and foremost I also want my slave to use her own mind at all times and stay away from stereotypes as stated in the start of this thread. I don't want a slave who says 'Yes, Master'just to please me, but rather would have said 'No, Master' in a certain situation. Or says 'This is the truth because my Master says so'. In other words, I don't want a slave who acts like a doll and wishes to be treated like one.
I love to discuss things with my slave and learn to know her thoughts, feelings and emotions about everything. Because in my opinion it's not only about how you expect your slave to behave.Its also about how, as a Master, you should behave towards your slave. Because every slave is different and has her own unique personality. So you can't treat every slave the same if you want her to be the best she can be. She is not a Bosk, but a cute little animal with intelligence.
But when I hear my slave about her experience with other free men and Masters she encounters, than it is not going to make me very happy often. When do men start to realize that when they behave like harsh brainless and kind of frustrated assholes towards every slave they encounter, even to the ones who are someone elses property, that they re ruining a lot of wonderful roleplaying for everyone?
Isn't it stated in the books that Gorean men just love that beautiful creatures called females and want to own a woman completely, mind, body and soul?. But here in sl it seems that many men are only interested in the females body, so only want to have a fuck toy at their boot. Men, I can tell you from personal experience, you re missing out more than you can imagine by treating your slave like no more than a fuck toy.
But that's your choice or course. More important to me personally is that Goreans are also known as men who live by honor and respect. It makes me wonder then, when you call yourself a Gorean man, why the heck you treat someone else's slave totally respectless?
When you read the books well and pay attention to how Tarl Cabot treats the slaves he own, then you ll find out he indeed treats them harshly when needed. But you ll also find out then that he also spends lots of time talking to a slave he owns, to learn to know about her and her abilities. Which results not only in slaves who please him with perfection, but also made him a very rich man in one of the books, just because he used the abilities of that particular slave perfectly. And how could he do that? Simply by learning to know about her.
But more important in Second Life however is that many Masters seem to forget that women are naturally way better communicators than men. Women are the glue which keeps a community together. And don't we all want a strong community at the sims we roleplay? I have no doubt about it that you want that too.
And the only way to succeed in that is, as also stated in the start of this thread, learning to understand slaves. Talk to the female you own an learn why she behaves in certain ways and what her thoughts and feelings are. And take the time to let her talk freely about her thoughts and feelings. And then send her out to socialize and meet people and serve them well as a slave.
And the reward for the time you invest in your slave will be, that people will compliment you over and over again about the marvelous slave beast you own. Every men loves to hear it when others like the property he owns as much as he does. But he is the one who really owns her and that makes a man feel damn proud.

What creates the perfect slave
In the Gor books it is been stated that there is a slave girl in every woman. And a Gorean Master seems to know very well how to treat a woman in such a way that she gets in touch with the slave inside her.
When you have the traits of a Gorean Master yourself, it's pretty amazing when you see it happen before your eyes, that a woman slowly turns into a complete slave the longer you spend time with her. Moreover, the more she gets in touch with the slave girl in her, the more happy she becomes and the more free she feels within herself, sometimes surprised by her own feelings. I personally think it's something very wonderful when you re able to give that to that to a woman.
But what are you, as a Gorean Master, doing to her that causes her to discover the slave in her?
First and foremost you make her discover the slave in her by making her feel your power and control over her. And no, for that you really don't have to whip her or punish her in one way or the other. I think when you make use of your personal traits as a Gorean Master the right way, you don't need a whip.
But how do you use your personal traits to awake the slave in your woman? Frankly it is fairly simple. Assuming that indeed there is a slave girl in every woman, then we can say that a woman doesn't want anything else but being pleasing to a man. And how can she be pleasing? Just by telling her clear and simple what you want from her, without holding back.
Which for instance means that as a Gorean Master you shouldn't be shy or have doubts about, if you can expect from her what you want. You ll aways have to be clear about your desires and communicate them with your slave clearly.
Because that is what she expect from you as her Master. Yes, that means you ll have to be bold sometimes. And yes, maybe you sense resistance from her from time to time. But when you control her the right way and lead her towards your desire with patience and understanding, she ll always do what you want. Because she is a slave and wants to be found pleasing in every way. That's what gives her happiness in life.
And your reward for being patient, thoughtful, understanding and respecting her feelings is, that she ll be an even more devoted slave, who ll time and time strive to be your perfect slave.

How to become a good Gorean Master
My slave honestly thinks I am a natural Gorean Master. And who could better judge that than your own slave girl who already has a lot of Gorean role play experience under her belt and who almost made a study of the Gor books. I considered it a huge compliment when she told me.
And after giving it some thought it became part of the reason why I started this blog. Because why should I keep all my knowlegde. skills, traits and life experiences, which makes me that so called 'natural Gorean Master' to myself, when I can help others to become better at what they wish to be, a Gorean Master.
At least I would like to think you want to become a Gorean Master, or are a Gorean Master already who's interested in experiences, thoughts and knowledge of other Gorean Masters. But it doesn't matter if you re not, because it could for several reasons be an interesting read for you anyway.
I think my slave sees me as a natural Gorean Master foremost because I come across as a pretty self confident, self assured, mentally strong, well mannered man who always tries to treat the people around him respectfully. Next to that I always keep my promises and believe that actions always speak louder than words.
And I guess that's what attracted me to Gor in Second Life in the first place. Because the male characters in the books appear to be the same kind of men and I am always looking forward to meet people who in their own way try to be the best they can be.
Also I treat my slave most respectfully. Even though the books tend to make you believe at first that a slave is just another piece of property, with which you can do as you please, you ll discover soon that many Gorean Masters also see a slave as a wonderful creature of nature who is very pleasant company in many ways. And I think that's absolutely true if you make the efford to learn to know your slave. To learn about her likes, her dislikes, her hopes, her dreams, her fears, her wants and her needs and feelings.
I believe a slave girl can only be at her most beautiful, lustful, passionate, sexy, giving, loving, caring and pleasurable when she feels safe, protected, cared for and thus absolutely comfortable in your presence. It doesn't matter how you think of a slave girl or what you think of a slave girl, she ll always be a woman. And a woman, especially when she is a slave who completely submits herself to you, doesn't want to be anything else than the woman you ve always dreamed of.
And is truly owning a woman who furfills all your wants and needs in every area of you life not what every man dreams about? You also can make that dream come true, by just treating your slave the right way.
But what is the right way to treat your slave? I don't think the right way to treat your slave is beating her up and whip her and punish her at every wrong moves she makes. I think that is indulging your frustrations and your lack of control of her on your slave which doesn't get you anywhere.
The right way to treat a slave is first and foremost treating her with respect. Because, when treated right, she ll be the best she can be in pleasing you. A women who's able to meet all your needs and wants, should be considered your most precious possession. And something so precious you should treat respectfully. Show your appreciation for what she does for you sometimes, compliment her sometimes, and tell her and show from time to time her how pleased you are with her.
I hear you think: "But heh, she is just a slave, she should just do that". That's absolutely true.
But look at it this way. You also should do your job right, because your boss is paying you for doing your job right. But imagine your boss only comes to you when you did something wrong and only gets mad at you and tells you what a loser you are. Does that motivate you in the long run to try to keep doing your job well?
But what if your boss gets mad at you sometimes when you indeed did something wrong, but also compliments you sometimes when you did your job great. Doesn't that motivate you even more and doesn't that make you try to be the best employe you can be? Everyone needs appreciation for what he does sometimes. Because that's what keeps a person going and happy and motivated and it is definitely the thing that makes them do their very best for you time and time again.
And your slave is no exception to that rule. So don't be afraid to show her and tell her you really appreciate what she is to you, your devoted slave.
However, not only treating her respectfully gets you were you want to be with your slave. Every woman and especially your slave not only wants to feel your power and control over her, but actually needs to feel your power and control over her. That's what's keeping her feel safe and protected by you. The elementary needs of every woman. And that's why she will test your power and control over her from time to time. Sometimes consciously, sometimes unconsciously.
And the way you respond to that tests determines if she can feel safe and protected by you or not. You should pay attention to it, now you know this. And then you ll see that every time as her Master passes a test from her, she ll grow more and more fond of you.
When we summarize all that's been written in this post, we can say that: when you act like a man who shows respect for his slave and appreciates her for who she is and makes her feel his power and control over her, has the basics in him to become a good Gorean Master.

How I met a slave girl and how she became my lovely article of property
As I said in my previous post, at one of my travels through Second Life Gor I met the woman who makes me experience what being a Gorean Master is all about.
It was one of those wonderful sunny days on SL when I met her...
A story which begins with a line like this, immidiately sounds like some kind of romantic story. But romantic stories don't really seem to exist on Gor. Although even on Gor men did crazy things sometimes because of a women, even if she was just a slave girl. But my story will not sound like a cheesy romantic story I think. But who knows, maybe the female readers of this post find the story hopelessly romantic after all.
It's been said that the most wonderful things in life happen when you least expect it. Well, the meeting with my slave girl at that day at that place I really didn't expect either. Because, first of all, I didn't really meet her on a Gor sim, but more a Gorean themed capture role play sim. On this kind of sims, you can capture someone and role play with that person. But your captive always expects to be released when the role playing is over.
Before I continue my story about how I met my slave girl, I first like to discuss something which I think is important at every meeting with a woman, especially when you want that woman to be your woman, or in this case slave, in the future. And that's the way you behave at the moment you approach a woman.
I noticed that many times men who participate in Gor role playing approach women with not that much respect. They tend to call all women, who more or less look like a slave, Slut or something similar. And maybe at that particular situation the woman doesn't care you call her a slut, but no matter how you look at it, you treat a woman you don't know respectless when you call her a slut.
But if you want a woman to like you, or even feel attrated to you, you should start with treating her with repect at all times. So when you are on Gor and you meet a slave, it's always safe and you show respect to the girl when you just call her Girl, Slave-girl or even Kajira.
Next to that you should always show a girl that you re a man who just goes after what he wants in a cool, calm and collected way. To a woman, you precense will then feel to her as that you re a mentally strong, self confident man, who knows what he wants, usually gets what he wants and takes what he wants whenever he wants it. And that particular personal traits make a woman feel safe and protected in your nearness and probably make her even feel attracted to you.
When you read the books of John Norman about Gor and you read them well, than you ll realize that Gorean men have exactly the same personal traits and that many slaves in the books felt attracted to their Masters. And what I just told you about personal traits is the reason why slaves often felt attracted to their Gorean Masters. The Gor books may be seen as Science Fiction, but there is a lot of truth in them about human nature. And how, when and why women feel attracted to men and want to do everything for them they can, is a very good example of that.
If you re a man and you don't believe what I just told about why women feel attracted to men, then copy and paste that part, let a woman read it and ask her if it is true or not. I assure you, you ll be surprised about her response.
Well, time to go back to how I met a slave girl and how I made her my slave girl. One day when I was just enjoying myself and chatting and hanging out with people at a capture role play sim, she suddenly caught my eye. A most beautiful almost exotic looking woman, just walking by very graceful a few yards away from me made me out of nowhere decide in a split second that I just had to have her.
And so it happend that a little time later she was standing before me, her wrists bound and leashed by me with a piece of rope. And like a capture role play starts more often, she came with all kinds of excuses why I should release her and that she would run away from me if I just gave her the slightest chance. And on top of that she even gave me the advise to let her go anyway, because she definitely would cause me a lot of trouble.
The first thing I did, was letting go of the leash to check how much was true of what she said and if she would really run away when I gave her that chance. And of course she didn't. A man who shows guts and shows he will abondon her easily when she somehow doesn't meet his expectations, starts to at least become curious about that man who doesn't seem to be desperate at all, where most other guys definitely are desperate in the same situation. They spend a lot of time trying to capture that woman and when they finally captured her, they want to have her, no matter what.
But showing pretty much the opposite of what's usual at the same kind of situation, makes women very curious about the man who showed her that. So she ll want stay with you, to be able to figure out more about you. And so did she.
The next thing I did when she didn't run away, was grabbing that leash once more and telling her she had her chance to run, but didn't. So from now on I would consider her my property to do with as I pleased. And of course I right away showed her what I do with a slave girl who I consider my property. What I did with her exactly? Let's just say that I did what all men love to do most with a beautiful and sexy woman. I guess it will not be necessary to say more.
After I was done with her I commanded her to kneel at my boot, naked of course. And so she did. While she was kneeling at my boot I told her she would wear my collar soon. Because she had been a very pleasing slave and so I had decided to keep her. The next day she was wearing my collar and two day after that she was wearing my brand on her left thigh.
When you re role playing with someone you can always assume that when a role play does go in a direction your role play partner doesn't feel comfortable with, he or she will tell you that OOC ( Offically Of Character) in an IM ( Instant Message ). And as long as you don't get an IM or otherwise an OOC message from your role play partner, you can just continue the role play you had in mind. And that way a slave girl became my lovely article of property.
Some days later, when we discussed together the role play we did the day I captured her, she told me the way I captured her and collared her was the way she always dreamed of from the moment she started to role play in Gor. I was happy to hear that, because to me it means I am not far of in terms of how to treat a woman right.

My intoduction to Gor on Second Life
I played Second Life for about 6 months, when someone asked me if I ever heard about Gor. I had heard of Gor, but at that time I didn't know there was such a large community on Second Life who enjoyed the Gorean lifestyle and role play.
On Second Life there is are a lot of sims created around the Gorean lifestyle, where people can role play their favorite type of character from the books of John Norman. For example, when you liked the stories about Torvaldsland in the books, you can be a Torvaldslander in Second Life on a sim which has a Torvaldsland theme.
Unfortunately there seem to be too many Gorean sims build in SL. Sims that are badly build or badly managed or marketed. Sims that often disappear as quickly as they were build. So, like me, it also could happen to you that you arrive on a sim where there is nobody around to role play with.
But on the other side there are also, wonderfully created and realistic looking sims with a lot of people around who enjoy Gorean role playing and who together make a strong Gorean community.
At one of those sims I arrived one day, not knowing very much yet about Gorean role play in Second Life and only been reading about 3 of the books of John Norman. But most SL Goreans are very helpful and led me gradually into Gorean role play in Second Life.
But because there are so many beautiful sims to explore on SL, I decided to just become a traveler first and explore a lot of sims and meet people first before considering which place i am going to call my home stone.
And on one of those travels I met a woman who makes me experience what being a Gorean Master is really all about... But that's 'food' for a next story.

Unfortunately there seem to be too many Gorean sims build in SL. Sims that are badly build or badly managed or marketed. Sims that often disappear as quickly as they were build. So, like me, it also could happen to you that you arrive on a sim where there is nobody around to role play with.
But on the other side there are also, wonderfully created and realistic looking sims with a lot of people around who enjoy Gorean role playing and who together make a strong Gorean community.
At one of those sims I arrived one day, not knowing very much yet about Gorean role play in Second Life and only been reading about 3 of the books of John Norman. But most SL Goreans are very helpful and led me gradually into Gorean role play in Second Life.
But because there are so many beautiful sims to explore on SL, I decided to just become a traveler first and explore a lot of sims and meet people first before considering which place i am going to call my home stone.
And on one of those travels I met a woman who makes me experience what being a Gorean Master is really all about... But that's 'food' for a next story.
